​As a popular culture blog platform, The Popularist aims to encourage people to look at the popular culture from different perspectives and share their opinions, to evoke discussion and to understand popular culture, as well as to allow readers to have higher exposure to new ideas and reflections regarding popular culture.

Ho Cheuk Yan Ellie, Editor-in Chief

 

Ellie is currently Chief of the editorial team, where she focuses on reviewing blog contents and maintaining standards. One of her main sources of inspiration is by watching various TV series and movies, typical genres including action, crime, adventure, fantasy, historical, science fiction, dystopian fiction, etc.

Cheung Yuki, Chief Creative Officer

 

Yuki is the CCO of The Popularist. Designing this site is her major mission and she is ultimately responsible for all design decisions. Her major interest is Korean culture, especially variety shows, dramas, and music. ​

Hui Yee Man Selena, Creative Officer

 

Selena is one of the creative officers of The Popularist, where she focuses on participatory culture, film art, and Television program. A movie and TV drama enthusiast who is interested in thriller and adventure stories.

Wong Ka Kei Natalie, Social Media Strategist

Natalie is the social media strategist of The Popularist. Her mission is to promote our blog online such as Facebook and Instagram. She interests in Japanese culture especially comics and animate.

Hui Yee Lam Elaine, Social Media Strategist

 

Elaine is one of the social media strategists of The Popularist. She is mainly responsible for sharing posts from The Popularist to different social media platforms for arousing more people to think about popular culture deeply through the blog post. Apart from promoting the brand, she will write posts about the Fandom, Digital & Cancel Culture, and controversial Portrayal. Living in a digital era and often affected by those derivative cultures of technology, Elaine is interested in those derivative cultures and will share her opinion on The Popularist.

BE Sujin, Production Officer

 

Sujin is the production officer of The Popularist. She is responsible for working with authors on drafts and supervising the layout of images, graphics and text styles to maintain consistency. With abundant international experience in Korea, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, her major interest is how people consume and embrace media products differently according to their cultural background.

Li Hiu Yan Minnie, Production Officer

 

Minnie is the production officer. Her mission is to manage and organize the posts and edit the texts of the blog. She is interested in both Western and Korean culture, especially tv shows, music, and movies. She also enjoys reading fantasy and fiction novels.
